Centre of the German Alpine Club in Bad Hindelang
The Youth Education Centre is located
in Southern
Bavaria,
above Bad Oberdorf, a part of the village Hindelang in the region “Oberallgäu”.
The centre is targeted at youth work for the German Alpine Club (DAV) and others,
emphasizing experiential and environmental education.
The beautiful sunny and alpine
location and the great variety of programs offer great conditions for an adventurous time
for groups of children, adolescents, young adults and families as well as school groups.
The conditions are ideal for training programs for Youth leaders of the German Alpine
Club.
The Youth Education Centre offers
specialy designed vacation and training programs for young people between the age of 9
– 25. The “Allgäuer Seminare” offer professional programs for
educationists and pedagogues.
Ask for the programs set groups or a
specially designed offer for Your specific group.
House information:
- Youth section with 44 beds
– rooms for two to five people
- Seminar section with 26
beds – all double rooms
- Self service units with
separate entrance, 24 bunk beds, kitchen and two large rooms for groups
- A variety of seminar rooms
for groups, special events and activities such as a photo laboratory
- A diversity of outdoor
facilities including volleyball court, climbing wall, high and low ropes course, lawn and
a large terrace.
- Local and ski bus stop
close to the house – only a limited number of parking places around the house are
available
- Summer and winter alpine
equipment are available for hire including rafts, kayaks, mountain bikes as well as two
mini vans for 9 passengers each.
- We can provide group
leaders and trainers with alpine and educational qualifications
- The Youth Education Centre
only accepts group booking
Activities:
- Hiking, climbing,
kayaking, high and low ropes course, mountain biking
- Skiing (bus stop for the
ski areas near the house), backcountry skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoe hiking
- Kayaking, Canyoning
- Trips focusing on culture
and environmental education (i.e. Hammerschmiede, Allgäuer Hochalpen – nature
reserve)
